A molecule is a tiny particle that is made from at least two atoms that are arranged in a particular way and held together by molecular forces. Put simply, a molecule is the smallest particle of a chemical substance that holds the essence of that substance – one molecule of water has two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, many, many molecules make a drop of water.
